A new study has found a link between the use of statin medications used to help adults lower their cholesterol levels and the risk for cataracts. Statins, such as Zocor and Lipitor, might increase the risk of developing cataracts. The study found that people who used statins have a 27 percent increased risk of developing cataracts.
